Amixalan Business Group has formalised the acquisition of a majority stake in Ega Perfil, one of the main national suppliers of metal profiles for the construction and agricultural sectors.

Ega Perfil was founded in 2006 by José Luis Guibert, who will maintain a shareholding in the company and will continue to lead it. It is based in Villatuerta (Navarra), has 50 employees and closed 2022 with a turnover of 40 million euros.

Its entry into Amixalan Business Group will allow it to implement a growth and internationalisation plan, thanks to the support and resources of the business group, and in the coming years it plans to significantly expand its facilities to considerably increase its production capacity.

Amixalan Group is a project of the Navarrese businessman Xabier Blanco, who has pointed out that ‘the decision to invest in Ega Perfil was based on its position of national leadership, its presence in France and Portugal and the in-depth knowledge of the sector of José Luis Guibert and all the professionals who make up Ega Perfil. Incorporating Ega Perfil into a project like Amixalan will allow the company to embark on a new stage of growth and internationalisation in the sectors in which it is present and also to take advantage of the technical capabilities of the Amixalan group to develop new products for other types of sectors’.

For his part, José Luis Guibert has stated that ‘with the entry of Amixalan in the share capital of Ega Perfil there is the perfect combination between the experience and knowledge of the sector of the team that has led this company and the proven ability of the new partners to grow and expand the companies; it will strengthen our position within the sectors that the company currently works and will allow us to diversify our product by expanding our presence in other sectors and in more countries’.
